Donielle Buie, Found of Gutsy Partners

Who is a Gutsy Partner?

Donielle Buie earned a BS in Biomechanical Engineering and an MA in Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies from Stanford University. Her passion for innovation, social change, and leadership development led her to create opportunities to truly impact others while also developing her own skills. Donielle has received numerous awards and recognition for her service, but measures her success by the lives that she touches.

Donielle founded Gutsy Partners, LLC because of her passion for entrepreneurship and her belief in the power of the entrepreneur to change society. She saw that many people had the motivation and skills to start a business. Unfortunately, they got “stuck” in the planning, start-up, and growth process because they were trying to do it all by themselves. Through Gutsy Partners, Donielle helps entrepreneurs create viable business plans, document their business processes to prepare for growth, and become thriving business leaders.

In addition to her work with Gutsy Partner’s clients, Donielle teaches entrepreneurship and business planning classes in the JOBS Ministry at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship.

Past Experience

While at Stanford, Donielle was selected for the prestigious Mayfield Fellows Program, focusing on high technology entrepreneurship. During the program, she studied how successful entrepreneurs took their ideas and created thriving companies. As a Mayfield Fellow, Donielle worked at Evant, a San Francisco based software startup. Donielle worked directly with the company CEO on a process development strategy for the Evant’s software product deployment. This experience sparked her passion for entrepreneurship!

Donielle spent time working in the nonprofit world. She taught entrepreneurship to high school students at Oakland Technical High School and Lionel Wilson College Preparatory Academy, both in Oakland, CA with BUILD. Donielle was certified by the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship and was recognized as an Apprentice Teacher of the Year in 2006. After BUILD, Donielle gained strong experience working in pharmaceutical market research with AlphaDetail, Inc.
