1.    SCORE: www.score.org
Affiliated with the U.S. Small Business Administration. SCORE website has great resources that are free. This includes templates, tutorials and the ability to connect with retired executives who answer questions for free.

2.    Startup Nation: www.startupnation.com
Online community and resources for entrepreneurs.  Startup Nation website has great articles, including “10 Steps to Open for Business.” There are podcasts, blogs, message boards and an online marketplace to see products. This is a great site to connect with other entrepreneurs, build community and get free advice.
3.  Silicon Valley Small Business Development Center: www.siliconvalley-sbdc.org
Offers services to small businesses in Silicon Valley area, including expert consulting services, workshops/ training, and information workshops.  Site also has several online training resources as well.

4.    Cisco Systems/ San Jose Entrepreneur Center: www.ecenteronline.org
Offers services small businesses in Silicon Valley as well. Extensive workshops and training seminars for start-up and growing businesses.  Workshops are low cost or no cost and schedule can be found online.

5.    Entrepreneur Magazine: www.entrepreneur.com
Resource about everything related to entrepreneurship. Print magazine and great website with lots of articles, guides and business rankings. Specific resources on starting your business, the most popular business ideas and trends, franchising and more.

6.    Inc. Magazine: www.inc.com
Entrepreneur and business magazine and website with articles, expert columns, business trends and more.

7.    Ladies Who Launch: www.ladieswholaunch.com
Women’s business incubator program that helps women get their businesses started.  The incubator is four weeks long and then becomes an ongoing network for graduates of the incubator.
